13th February 2010, FUN TIMES: Bake-A-Boo

As part of Mrs Paul's birthday celebrations, we went to Bake-A-Boo, a teashop in West Hampstead for afternoon tea. Amazingly, they do a gluten-free version, which turned out to be terrific. You get as much tea as you want (and they have loads of choice), we got egg mayo and cucumber sandwiches, scones with jam and cream and cup cakes with strawberries dipped in chocolate. Stuff like this, when gluten-free, can sometimes be a bit rubbish, so it's pretty commendable that they do it so well. If you're offended by flowery, girly, pink stuff everywhere, you might want to avoid Bake-A-Boo though.
