20th February 2010, COMEDY: Tim Key, Soho Arts Theatre

Tim Key won the 2009 Edinburgh Comedy Award and, on this evidence, it's easy to see why. Key is a comedian and a poet whose rhymes are often a bit silly and always surprising. He's a laid back performer that you can easily warm to and his audience interaction is always on the pleasant, rather than nasty, side. The great thing about his show is the way that he combines comedy and wordplay. It's never clever-clever, he doesn't try and get serious and he mixes it up enough to keep you constantly interested and highly amused.
